*This article made me acutely aware that kids may, perhaps even will experience existential crisis in their spiritual beliefs. I don’t know why I did not think of this as an issue, but the article was very helpful in understanding how anger at God and loss of faith can happen for kids in grief just as much as adults. I wonder if we as adults need to get better at being ok with being angry at God and only then will we be able to really help our kids in the tension between wanting to believe and still being so VERY angry?
*This article makes me think – I don’t know that we will be able to really resolve the many tensions that arise with grief and living in a world with so many differing beliefs, even in families, surrounding kids. So perhaps the best we can do is help them figure out how to live in those tensions and figure out what makes most sense and is most comforting to them.
