In the first case study I was not the actual chaplain involved it was outside of my shift, but I agree I am so glad that my hospital and colleagues were able to make this happen.

Trish, you picked up on some of the things we explored together on being loved and accepted – there was so much more than what I could impact in one acute care stay and in many ways he was still trying to figure out who his authentic self was so much of what you are asking was a work in progress. I remember thinking to myself the hypocracy of them asking him to be celibate while most likely there were others in the congregation leadership who were single, heterosexual and not celibate.
