Thank you again, Wally for your reflections. Beautiful reflection on how the residents on the dementia unit are less guarded on sharing their feelings expressing emotion more through their eyes, and body language. There’s no shame in crying or being sad and they can usually be comforted by your caring presence, be it a smile, a hug, a caring touch. Whereas we as staff, not so easy to be vulnerable with one another.
You were really sensitive to the emotions of the blind man….sensitive to his feeling frustration at being pressured. And, he felt heard! We are really all learning in this webinar!
