I just watched the Active Listening Skills video for week three.

It was good to have a joyful example.  that is part of what we do also, but often the focus is on the angry, sad, fearful and/or confused.

Rick was able to pull out key words in his summaries.  He synthesized a number of elements in Kathy’s story.

She felt heard and would share more.  She said, “I want to tell you more.”

Rick said it is a gift to the listener as well.  I agree.   I learned from Kathy’s story, some counter story tingled my spirit a little.
