I should have written, “almost 300 beds” in my last post when I wrote, “I am solo at my place, and,with almost __ beds”.

The article also highlighted the need to chart in the electronic charting system (if one exists). We recently converted over to a new electronic medical system and the charting process is really neat. It allows me to link the actual physician referral (Palliative Care, et al) with my notes. So all physicians on consult will see my notes in a central place.

I’ve been a chaplain for quite some time now and I’ve never had that tool at my disposal in that way before. I wonder how many others have that tool and how others are using it.
