Join Rabbi Gaylia Rooks as she makes a brief presentation about the meaning and practice of Hanukkah with time for Q & A. There will be an AM and PM session on Dec. 8th or 9th, time TBA.
Rabbi Rooks recently retired from The Temple in Louisville, Kentucky. She appears frequently on the “Moral Side of the News” and serves on the allocations committee of the WHAS Crusade for Children. Her Rabbinic Thesis, Halachic Guidance for the Terminally Ill, provides insights from Jewish tradition for the modern-day dilemmas of biomedical ethics. Further, Rabbi Rooks serves on several medical facilities ethics committees and has taught as an adjunct at Spaulding University, Indiana Southeast, and Louisville Presbyterian Seminary, where she also holds a D. Min. degree.
